Don’t
miss this year’s Parade of Athletes
POCATELLO, Idaho – Want to experience the Simplot Games true spirit? What better way than
to watch as more than 2,000 athletes make their way around Idaho State’s
historic wood track. This Olympic-style event, the Parade of Athletes, has been
a Games tradition for the past 24 years.
Every year athletes, parents,
and spectators look forward to this extraordinary celebration as special guests
are introduced, the national anthem is played, and athletes from each state
march with other competitors around the track.
For athletes, it offers a
chance to be recognized as they celebrate all their hard work with other top
athletes. For spectators, it provides a good introduction into what the Simplot
Games is all about – bringing athletes from across the country together to
compete and showcase their talents.
The Parade of Athletes will
take place on Saturday, February 16, at 11:30 a.m., right before the finals of
each Simplot Games’ event.
Tune into Altitude Sports
& Entertainment on Sunday, March 2nd to catch the premier of the
Simplot Games. Altitude is available on
DISH network channel 410 and Direct TV channel 644.
