Top Montana high school athletes set to compete at Simplot Games

Pocatello, Idaho – Several of Montana’s top high school athletes are ready to compete at Simplot Games, the nation’s premier high school track and field event, in Pocatello, Idaho, February 14-16. Simplot Games brings together some of the top high school athletes in the country for a weekend of intense competition and fun.

 

This year’s top athletes representing Montana include:

 

§         Patrick Casey, 3200 meter run

(Laurel)

Patrick was the 2007 class A champion in the 1600- and 3200 meters. He was also a member of the championship 1600 meter relay team. His seeded time of 9:36 would have placed him first in the 2007 Simplot Games. Patrick will be a major contender for the    gold at the 2008 Simplot Games.

§         Lindsey Hall, 60-meter hurdles and triple jump

(Missoula)

Lindsey was the runner up in the 2007 state meet AA in the 100 meter hurdles.

§         J.J. Harrington, 200 meter dash

(Great Falls)

The sophomore’s seeded time of 22.4 would have placed him in the top 8 at the 2007 Simplot Games.

§         Kassie Krian, 60-meter hurdles

(Helena)

With a seeded mark of 8.6, this senior is expected to be a contender in the race for a medal. Last year in the 2007 Simplot games, this mark would have placed her in the top five.
